Monasteries on Crete
One of the most beautiful and photogenic monasteries on the Greek island of Crete is without a doubt AGIA TRIADA. Just 5 min from the Chania Airport (45min drive from the holiday home :villa Limani).
There is a little entrance to be paid. A visit takes about 1 hour so you have time to combine this with other activities or visits.
We recommend you do a day trip to the Chania peninsula names AKROTIRI ( we have a newsletter prepared for you, just ask for it and we send it to you).
Other top destinations and places to see on the AKROTIRI peninsula are:
*) Marathi beach with Crystal clear waters and nice fish restaurants ( see our favorites )
*) Seitan Limani beach with fluo blue-green waters, but with a steep descend it is not for every tourist.
*) Stavros beach : the beach that became famous due to Anthony Quin in the movie ZORBA THE GREEK ( also called ZORBA beach).
In the evening you can go into Chania city for a lovely dinner or drinks in the lounge bars at the old Venetian harbor.
