Welcome at our luxury VILLA MAQUIS, where luxury and rest come together on the beautiful Greek island of Crete.

With VILLA MAQUIS we wanted to build more then a luxury villa but also create a specific LIFESTYLE where several generations are able to create memories together and strengthen their relationships.

More and more people rethink what they want to do with their precious time. Why not offer a vacation as a present to your children and grandchildren? Being together, create memories with your grandchildren and still have the possibility to relax at each moment of the day.

While the children play in safety or make endless fun in the private pool, the parents can relax in the pool lounge .

Enjoy the impressive sunsets from the apero-terrace and have a cosy dinner at the BBQ lounge next to it.

Our villa is wheelchair accessible, an elevator takes you to the 3 floors and stemless paths lead to the parking or pool.

Enjoy maximum privacy in each bedroom located at distance from each other and enforce the feeling of serenity on your private terrace or balcony.

Sports, relaxation or recharge your batteries, take time for your mental well-being.

Have a go at our GYM or relax in the infinity private pool while you take in the breathtaking views around.

Relax through meditation and develop your inner harmony in our special designed YOGA area in the garden with fantastic views on the "Lefka Ori" mountains.

Disconnect from the daily stress and connect with the harmony of the Cretan nature. Our garden is respectfully integrated into the wild flora.

Enforce your senses by taking in the different scents of the wild herbs in the garden and noises of nature surrounding the villa.

Walk one of the many famous gorges, rent a boat or go scuba diving in the clear bleu waters, experience the Greek culture during a city trip of CHANIA, cook together ( and eat ) with a local lady, taste the Cretan wines in one the many wineries... we have made a collection of these and many more on our website under "vacation tips".

Authentic Greek experience and traditional healthy foods.

Embrace the authentic Cretan lifestyle, discover the area as the nearby Greek village of VAMOS where the time slows down. In the many tavernas (see our favorites) stay still serve the traditional Cretan dishes. Here tradition is key, they are proud to serve you healthy products and show of with home cooking, you will get entertained with life music and Cretan dance.

In the month July the area of Vamos transform into a Jazz festival. From far musicians come to participate while thy also spend their holidays.

But should our guests prefer to focus on their family and friends, we are happy to share references for private chefs, yoga teachers, massage therapists and others for the organization of their "personal-activities".

Modern design with integration of natural elements

In and around the villa, an atmosphere of rest and peace is created with tasteful decorations, soft colors and personal modern art (made by the lady of the house). Natural stones run smoothly from outside to inside and create a feeling of beautiful integrated Cretan nature.

At Villa Maquis, music is an essential part of the relaxing experience, you will be able to stream your personal music inside and outdoors via high quality sound systems and music boxes.

Nearby cosy bays, ideal for children

At only 10min several cosy sandy beaches are located where children are able to play safely. They will be happy to serve you drinks when you take place on the sunbeams on the beach and you can also have a small lunch or dinner in one of the many tavernas.

As owners we rent out our villa for a limited time (15 June until 15 September). This way we are sure to be able to offer you high standards, quality, luxury and exclusivity.
